Megan Thee Stallion is one of the up and comers of the female rapping scene. She is a breath of fresh air in an otherwise stale female rap scene, who quite frankly has been a long time coming. She is incredibly talented and has a very versatile sound, meaning she can appeal to a huge range of people. She appeals to not just women, but men, which is something MANY female rappers cannot say for themselves. Megan Thee Stallion is new to the rap scene, at least the public one, and new to being famous. It is too soon to say how well she will handle fame in the long run. But, for now, she has done pretty darn good. She looks great, she sounds great, and she makes cool and interesting music.

But, how much does she weigh? Megan doesn't weigh all that much, in truth, just 148 pounds (or 67kg). Since she is five foot ten, this makes her low weight even more impressive.

She is skinny, to say the least. She looks good, she looks healthy, so skinny certainly works for her. Managing to maintain a healthy weight and look good is harder than you think when you are under the spotlight. You might think its easier, having access to dietitians and personal trainers, but fame is stressful. It is just as much a curse as it is a blessing, and for many people it makes them slip from their healthy habits. Luckily, this hasn't been a problem for Megan.

Who is Megan Thee Stallion?

In case you couldn't tell, Megan's real name is not Thee Stallion. Her real name is Megan Jovon Ruth Pete and she was born on Feb 15th, 1995. Megan is still very young, at least very young for someone so famous. She only started to get real recognition in 2018 when she signed to the record label 300. She was and still is, the only female rapper belonging to the label. Which, arguably isn't saying much since there aren't all that many female rappers with representation. On the other hand, its a testament to her talent that she has representation at all.

Megan is American born and bred and has fully embraced the American rap scene. She has quite a unique sound and has used it to carve out a sizeable fanbase. A loyal fanbase at that. Female rap fans have been waiting for someone who represents them and their struggles to make it to the big time. To many people, it looks as if Megan Thee Stallion is that rapper. So far so good, only time will tell whether she has what it takes to stay in the game. Or whether she fizzles out like so many artists have before her. If you are a betting person, you would probably want to bet on Megan. Shes made it this far and shown no sign of stopping.

Why is she so famous?

To some, it might be a little strange, the speed with which she has become so famous and popular. For anyone familiar with Megan though, it comes as no shock. She is obscenely talented and all-around well-liked. She has a unique sound and interesting outlook on life. She is also relatable. She sings about things that relate to regular people, she doesn't just rap about cars and money, she has put her flair into her music. People like that. She has also shown she is resilient, and human, with her problems. She does hide her struggles, she is very open about them. Recently, Megan lost her mom. She sadly passed away. No one should lose their mom so young, at 25 her mom and she should have had many years left together. But that's life. Megan has been refreshingly open about everything that's going on, not ashamed to show her grief. When someone has famous and "on a peddle stool" as Megan is, it is almost expected that they act robotically. Like nothing can hurt them. Megan has shown that's not true. It is possible to be famous and show that you are also just a normal person. With real feelings. It is refreshing and admirable for Megan to behave this way all the time, especially now more than ever.
